Charlottenburg Palace
The impressive Charlottenburg Palace gave a whole district its name. It all began in 1695, when a palace was build in Lietzow, a village outside Berlin, for the Prussian queen Sophie Charlotte. After Sophie Charlotte`s death in 1705 Lietzow was renamed Charlottenburg. The palace was rebuilt and enlarged several times. Enjoy the beautiful grounds to walk and relax!

Tip: In Charlottenburg lies the radio tower (Funkturm). Opened in 1926, the Funkturm has a height of 150 m. A viewing platform offers great opportunities to discover Berlin from above.
